More than a business, a family legacy
Turkish Roots, Sheffield Home
Olive House sits on the corner of Abbeydale Road and Archer Road in Millhouses, a Sheffield restaurant built around Turkish and Mediterranean cooking done the traditional way. Everything on the menu is made fresh and cooked fresh, from dishes grilled over charcoal in true Turkish style through to a nod to the site's Mediterranean past. Kebabs, steaks, seafood, and a full range of vegetarian dishes all sit side by side, a menu built to bring something a little different to the area while still feeling like somewhere you could eat every week.
A way of coming home
Olive House is owned and run by Fethi and Claire Tosun. Fethi grew up in Fethiye, on Turkey's Ölüdeniz coast, before moving to England in 2007 and building a career across Sheffield's restaurant scene, most recently running his own Turkish restaurant in Barnsley.
Â
With family roots back in Sheffield, opening Olive House was a way of coming home. Claire runs the restaurant alongside him, and together they've built a team around good values and proper standards, the kind of place where the food is cooked with care and the welcome is genuine, not put on. It's a family business in the truest sense, and it shows in how the place is run, day in, day out.
